click your heels together

Outfit Details:
Dress: Urban Outfitters
Belt: Mothers
Shoes: Winners
Jean Vest: Thrifted, Banana Republic
Bow: Handmade by Victoria Speirs click here
Ring: Handmade, Hattitude Jewellery
Necklace: Handmade, available in my online shop
I went up to the rooftop yesterday to take photos as it looked like it was going to start to rain and or thunder shower. Just as I was finishing it started to pour!

I love this flowy dress skirt. It's so nice to move and swing and dance. Feels so fresh. I put an animal skin pattern belt with it to bring in a neutral (yes I consider animal print a neutral ha) and the jean vest to make it casual. This necklace I handmade and is available on my website until Friday for 15% off. Hattitude jewellery is having a summer sale! The sweet little bow I'm wearing (I love adding certain details to outfits) is from a lovely local girl who makes baby blankets, bows and other items using reclaimed vintage fabrics. Victoria Speirs really has the most darling items you should check out her FB page! Click here.

This ring will soon be available in my online shop. I handmade it using a vintage earring. Isn't it perfect for the warmer weather? I've never made rings before and I've started playing around with rings, what do you think of this one?

happy first day of summer!

Outfit Details:
Shorts: Vintage, my moms
Shirt: Clothing swap
Barette: Vintage
Necklace: Available in my shop here

In honour of the first day of summer, here's a very nautical themed outfit. I hand made this necklace and is one of a kind made from a vintage clip on earrings. Isn't it fun for the summer? Treat yourself to this awesome piece for the beach!

I took these photos at a church by my condo building. I always get so nervous doing outfit photos. Sometimes I get a lot of stares and questions. At least if people ask me questions, it's better then the stares I can then explain to them, "well I'm a style blogger. I run a jewellery company where I showcase outfits on how to wear the necklaces." Even after a year and a half it still makes me nervous sometimes. So I always like when I find a secret alley way, or alcove that I can take photos alone in. This was pretty private by a beautiful old church with a neat little stair case going up the one side, which I immediately thought would be neat to give the photos different heights.

I'm in bed sick today (took these photos yesterday). Can you believe the first day of summer and I have a cold? I hope your day is going better then mine. Do you have any weekend plans?

wild child nature inspired outfit

Outfit Details:
Maxi dress: Winners
Jacket: Thrifted, Banana Republic
Belt: Vintage
Ring: DLR, Guelph
Necklace: available in my shop www.GotHattitude.com
I'm really diggin' this outfit. I must be getting in the mood for Caledonstock, dressing loosey goosey and feeling my inner hippie. All my jewellery lately has been very nature wild child inspired.  I hand made this necklace. You can find it at my online shop. Click here to take a browse. This necklace would look great in the summer with long flowy dresses and skirts, or when the weather turns colder throw it on with a collared plaid shirt and some high waisted jeans and brown ankle booties.

I've been working away on the CF for CF fashion show, which is on Thursday September 19th, 2013. This year I am SO ecstatic my boyfriend, Tristan is one of the male models! We have 15 female models and 5 male models strutting their stuff down the runways supporting a great cause. We are selling advanced tickets to this years fashion show event on Saturday July 20th at Caledonstock. This will be the site of our Launch party! It's a giant outdoor music fundraiser to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis. Come dress like a hippie, dance, listen to the bands, play some games and win some prizes. Dinner is included and tickets are $25 per person.

wear a flower in your hair

Outfit details:
Shirt: Courage my love, made from two vintage scarves, Toronto, ON
Pants: Vintage, Chez Thrift, Bolton, ON
Shoes: Shoepper
Flower: off an old hat
Necklace: handmade, Hattitude jewellery

I love love love this whimsical top that I purchased from Kensington market. I'm a huge fan of one of a kind items and these shirts were made from two vintage scarves. I wish I knew how to sew better and I might go in to my mothers closet (she has about 165 vintage scarves, NOT EVEN KIDDING) I doubt she would even miss them if I snaffooed some for a lovely shirt!

I love the flower in my hair. I took it from an old hat and have been bobby pinning it in to my hair for the last few years. There's something fun about a flower in your hair that is so feminine and summery.

I handmade this one of a kind necklace. It is such a gorgeous green statement piece. Throw it on for a more casual look with a tan tank and blue jean shorts. You can check it out in my online jewellery store here. Click here. or Here.

Here's how I would rock those child hood fun patterned socks! I love this outfit. I have a thing for childhood socks lately. It's a look only a few can pull off and sometimes I wonder if I am making it work or if I just look like a girl wearing socks with her sandals (gasp!)

This necklace is a dream. It's available in my online shop. I hand made it using vintage pieces from old necklaces. It is one of a kind. Click here to take a browse!

a san francisco outfit

Outfit Details:
Tights: Sock shop, San Francisco
Shirt: Swap
Jean Jacket: Chez Thrift, Bolton, ON
Shoes: Shoe store, San Francisco
Scarf: Gift from boyfriend
Jewellery: Hattitude jewellery

I love this outfit. I love my tights I picked up in San Francisco. I received a ton of compliments on them today. Everyone asking where I had got them, because of course Ontario just probably would not have these tights. Someone said Europe, right? Nope. Good ol' San Francisco. I was blown away with the shopping there. Haight street is a dream come true. Walking in to the vintage stores there was like walking in to a costume shop. Unbelievable.

You can pick this lovely necklace up in my shop. It's one of a kind, hand made by me, Hattitude jewellery. Click here to shop around.

a toy soldier kind of outfit

Outfit details:
Pants: Vintage
Suspenders: Thrifted
Shirt: Dear Creatures, San Francisco
Jacket: Vintage, Victoria, BC
Purse: Vintage, Grandmothers

I've been travelling like crazy this month. We calculated it, and I have spent a total of 6 nights in my apartment. Between Toronto, San Francisco, Caledon and London I have had little time to spend at home! It is so nice to be in the comfort of my own home again. I did some spring closet cleaning today. I found so many gems that I had forgotten about as they were shoved to the back of my closet. I put away all my winter woolies inside my trunk that sits at the end of my bed ready for next year to come.

I love this outfit for the fun. It reminds me of a toy solider. The blouse is so cute and I was lucky enough to get it in San Francisco at a sample sale from an independent designer, Dear Creatures. If you have not checked them out click here to go to their site. I am a girl all about the little details so I adore the bow they put on this blouse...of course I'm a HUGE cat fan so who could not swoon at the print!

This jacket is one of my favourites! I love the leather and old badges on this jacket my boyfriend and I picked up at a thrift store out in British Columbia. One of my favourite things is to collect articles of clothing from places that I have travelled. They become my souvenirs. What do you collect when you go away on holidays?
