infatuation statement necklace

Infatuation necklace click here

Outfit details:
Shoes: England
Pants: Urban Outfitters
Top: Thrifted, DIY
Coat: Thrifted, London, ON, Jackpot vintage
Hat: Queen st. Toronto
Necklace: Hattitude jewellery www.GotHattitude.com

I love hats in the fall. What's your favourite go-to clothing or accessories piece this fall? The autumn is cool enough that your head does not sweat from the heat of the hat, but yet warm enough that you don't need a wooly hat to keep your ears warm against the snow and wind. Fall is a great time of year for layering. I love the little details, like rolling up pant legs, with big socks. With vests and statement necklaces. Statment necklaces are the number one essential piece you MUST have in your wardrobe this year. I think they are amazing and take any outfit from a blah to a zing! Autumn is the perfect season to get your fashion on.

I just got back from England 5 days ago, and it was my first time in Europe. I had goosebumps the entire time. No one prepares you for the majestic feeling you have walking into a building that is over a 1,000 years old. It was incredible.

I loved how everyone dressed in London, in fact one of my favourite things to do was just sit on the tube and watch all the different people that would get on and see what they all were wearing! The men in europe are so stylish, every single man in london was dressed to the nines. I hope you all had a wonderful past two weeks. What's your favourite place in Europe? England? London?

eighty's crop tops

Outfit details-
Skirt: Vintage
Top: Sentamentalist vintage clothing in London, ON
Purse: Vintage, Chez thrift, bolton
shoe: Seychelles

I love tie cropped eighty shirts, and long flowy skirts, I guess that's why I've featured two long skirts on the blog this week. This purse is one of my favourite items. I find the shape just really neat. I also love anything navy since it's such a hard colour to find. This is a very summery outfit and makes me enjoy the last day of August. I really don't want the summer to end, but I heard September is going to be hot, which is good, since August was a bit of a rip off with how chilly it was.

I spent all this week preparing for the wedding show that I am in next weekend. As well I spent this weekend hunting down fifties attire for a creative I'm working on, an engagement editorial shoot. I'm super excited for this shoot, as of course I love the fifties! We are shooting at an old retro diner and a carnival fair. FUN.

I hope you are all headed to somewhere with a beach this weekend with the heat! My lad and I have special anniversary plans out of town.
Have a wonderful long weekend.

p.s. don't forget to check out my bridal boutique click here or my regular jewellery online shop click here for some new vintage upcycled pieces that went up on the shop this week. I'm quite bug eyed for this necklace (wink wink) www.GotHattitude.com

a pleated skirt can make you feel so free

Outfit details-
Loafers/walking on a cloud
Skirt: Forget me not pop up show
Shirt: clothing swap
Bangles: mothers
Jewellery: Handmade by me from my online shop. Click here
Hat: grandfathers

I LOVE this pleated skirt. The colour is very unique and neutral. I can see it's going to turn in to a staple in my closet. Something I always grab. It's a new vintage find from the weekend. I also adore men's fedoras and they often pop into my outfits. Old man loafers AND old man fedoras + a pleated skirt...a girl can feel extra special wearing that fierce combination!

It's humid again, I don't even mind it for this last week of summer. I would do anything to hold on to the summer heat and fresh corn on the cob. I think that is my favourite thing about August. As little kids we used to eat corn on the cob EVERY single night at the cottage during the summer months. It was the best. Now my extended family farm has started growing human corn so we get to enjoy the deliciousness of FRESH corn thrown in the pot.
What's your favourite summer time vegetable or summer tradition? Are you trying to squeeze anything in the last few days of summer?

p.s. thanks to everyone who has liked my page and helped my small business grow! I am now up to 300 likes. I am blowing air kisses at all of you. Big smiles.

a field full of sunflowers

Outfit Details:
Dress: Thrifted, The Sentamentalist, London ON
Belt: Mothers
Sweater: Grandmothers
Necklace: Handmade by me, Hattitude Jewellery

I thought my neighbours farm field was the perfect place to take this photo since this outfit reminds me of a farm girls dress. It reminds me of Little House on the prairie a little. My boyfriend bought me it last week at a local thrift store in London, Ontario and I've been living in it ever since. It just is so easy to wear. I love it with a little yellow anchor necklace that I handmade from a vintage brooch. Summer is still here after all!
My neighbours are the sweetest people and have a huge sunflower field and a beautiful wheat field. I was scouting out locations for my wedding creative shoot, that they have graciously allowed me to shoot in their backyard, that I am organizing for tomorrow afternoon. I can't wait for the shoot! I'm so excited to make some beautiful photos and create a love story through images. I am working with the very talented Samantha Hurley of samanthahurleyimaging.com photography.

Don't forget I am having a giveaway of two lovely handmade hair bows, by the lovely Victoria. Click here to see her facebook page for other cute hand sewn items. Check out the give away by Clicking here.

happy first day of summer!

Outfit Details:
Shorts: Vintage, my moms
Shirt: Clothing swap
Barette: Vintage
Necklace: Available in my shop here

In honour of the first day of summer, here's a very nautical themed outfit. I hand made this necklace and is one of a kind made from a vintage clip on earrings. Isn't it fun for the summer? Treat yourself to this awesome piece for the beach!

I took these photos at a church by my condo building. I always get so nervous doing outfit photos. Sometimes I get a lot of stares and questions. At least if people ask me questions, it's better then the stares I can then explain to them, "well I'm a style blogger. I run a jewellery company where I showcase outfits on how to wear the necklaces." Even after a year and a half it still makes me nervous sometimes. So I always like when I find a secret alley way, or alcove that I can take photos alone in. This was pretty private by a beautiful old church with a neat little stair case going up the one side, which I immediately thought would be neat to give the photos different heights.

I'm in bed sick today (took these photos yesterday). Can you believe the first day of summer and I have a cold? I hope your day is going better then mine. Do you have any weekend plans?

a san francisco outfit

Outfit Details:
Tights: Sock shop, San Francisco
Shirt: Swap
Jean Jacket: Chez Thrift, Bolton, ON
Shoes: Shoe store, San Francisco
Scarf: Gift from boyfriend
Jewellery: Hattitude jewellery

I love this outfit. I love my tights I picked up in San Francisco. I received a ton of compliments on them today. Everyone asking where I had got them, because of course Ontario just probably would not have these tights. Someone said Europe, right? Nope. Good ol' San Francisco. I was blown away with the shopping there. Haight street is a dream come true. Walking in to the vintage stores there was like walking in to a costume shop. Unbelievable.

You can pick this lovely necklace up in my shop. It's one of a kind, hand made by me, Hattitude jewellery. Click here to shop around.
