How this outfit came to be Hattified: It was a warmer then usual day in Vancouver, thus a short dress was duable. I wanted to wear a fun dress. I had wool tights to match this retro pattern to keep me warm. I threw on the wool cable knit cardi to keep warm outside without a jacket. To amp and hattify this outfit up, I needed to put on a leather braid belt, some jewels, and tons of bracelets, as well as my hand painted vintage ring.
Why this Outfit Works: Someone might have looked at that loud and retro dress and thought there was no way to work this piece. I looked at it and saw a little bowl of ice cream with some maple syrup on top. I loved it. Put it with some plain brown tights, and a plain (different texture) sweater, and this outfit works.
A different version: Skip the bracelets, wear one ring, lose the belt....don't forget though every outfit needs a Hattitude necklace!
I've been waiting to get a good day of sunshine to take photos of the new jewellery I've made, while out here in Vancouver, it's hard to get a sunny day for a shoot. I bought some lillies, and gerber daisies to take photos with. Before they go all floppy doppy, here's hopin' the weather turns.
I have been loving all your Vancouver outfits!! The city must be a good muse for you
