Cf for CF - FAshion SHow

Incase you missed the show, here's a sneak peak of what the Lady Team + Nik (13 of my girlfriends and Nik) did this summer. We had 500 guests, and raised over $27,000 for cystic fibrosis foundation of canada. We were able to start a new 'sponsor a family' program and helped a family going through transplant. It was an amazing night. Not to mention the 8 fashion houses were hot hot hot!

I'm off to get some halloween decorations for the party on friday. Halloween is my favourite time of year! I thought about going as a zombie....but as my mother once told me...you always want to look cute on halloween. She speaks from experience when one year she went as the three little pigs with her two girlfriends. This year me and my boyfriend are going as Sandy and Danny from Grease. I like to go blonde on halloween (last year I was cinderella) since I probably never will get to in real life.

book club month

Book club this month was totally groovy. I love chit chattin' with these fine lovely ladies and spillin' our guts on the discussions. This book One Day I would definitely recommend. We're a hard group to crack and this one ranked a 4 out of 5 in our books.

Fashion Show 2011

Did you miss the memo? I did...It's July 11th ALREADY!

I am sitting on the screened in porch enjoying the garden and pond view, when I went to get up from the couch, I was stuck.

Leather, humidity, legs and dresses make for a great oppurtunity for legs to stick and squish and be PEEEEELED off leather couch.

That being said, I am NOT complaining. Summer is far to short, and far to gorgeous and I far way rather the heat heat heat then a sparkle of snow.

I've been spending a lot of time designing for the Fashion show on Thursday August 25th.
Whaaaat fashion show is this you may ask? Me and 13 beautiful fashionista, inspiriting women, (dubbed the Lady Team) put on. Did I mention we're all under the age of 25? Super stars.

We raised over $30,000 for the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation last year. This is our second annual event, and if you thought last year was good. Wait until you see this year. It's going to knock your wedge sandals off...yeah I went there.

custom work

My show was cancelled this past weekend! Oy. but never fear I'll be featuring some "pop up shows" in the next few weeks, to make up for it!

Sorry to everyone who had planned to come to the unveiling of my new line, but at the "pop up shows" the new collection will be in full gear!

Here is some photos of a custom bracelet I did for a woman's neice for her confirmation. The bracelet is religious inspired for the event, and holds a lot of the girls mothers and aunts old religious pins, as well as the young girls birth stone colour, turquoise.

Jewellery show tomorrow rescheduled

I'm sorry, but due to personal reasons, my Jewellery show this weekend has had to be rescheduled until a later date. I will keep you updated as to when it will be.

My new collection with over 70 new pieces, will just have to wait a little bit longer to be presented! Trust me...it'll be worth the wait ;)

I will keep you updated as to when the show is being rescheduled for, but as of right now there is no jewellery show this weekend. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Monster closet. We look like we are robbing her house. We all went thrifting through her stuff. I scored that hat! You'll see more stuff soon from Gma's closet.  Ever raided your Grandmothers closet?

do you like pina coladas?

Dress: Chez Thrift (no alterations needed)
Jacket: Chez Thrift
Necklace: Vintage
Earrings: Queen St.

Do you like pina coladas? And dancing in the rain? I like all of the above.
This dress reminds me of a pina colada. I drank one on the weekend (we thought it was a strawberry margarita...but if you know me at all, I know my margaritas, and that was NO margarita)

This long weekend was awesome. How was yours? I got to spend it in the city with my cousin (who lives too far away in DC for my liking!...although it's a nice vacation destination.) I went to a jay's game (don't ask me who won...I just go for the beer, cheers, and people...we are too far up in the nose bleed seats to see the guys) The weather was beautiful and we spent the day walking around. Weekend was filled with bbq's, summer smells, and designing more jewellery for my weekend show coming up in June! My new line of jewellery will be presented that weekend! Check out the facebook invite by clicking here and viewing some sneak peak photos of my new line of jewellery!
