I found this pitch fork in my mom's garden and thought it would go perfectly with the cowboy boots I was sporting. I love this long drape dress for when you're headed up to the cottage for the long weekend. It's suppose to be absolutely beautiful. Hot, hot, heat is coming back. There may be a little rib fest? a little bon fire? and a whole lot of thrift store frequenting this weekend.

I love bringing back my high waisted pants for the fall. I'm especially loving the peak-a-boo ankles this season, cropped high waisted pants around the ankles. What is it about loafers that make me feel so good?

I've been watching a LOT of Mad Men. I'm currently obsessed! I started watching season 1 last week and am already on to season 2. (I know how could I have NOT watched Mad Men until this summer?!) I absolutely am in love with the fashions. I was downtown Toronto yesterday and went vintage shopping for some 50's or 60 dresses, I figure I'll dumb them down with a jean jacket and some converse shoes, or cowboy boots. But they are just all SO pretty. I also love Betty Draper's casual looks. Gosh her pants and sweaters are out of this world! The early 60's is my inspiration for Autumn this year. I'm going to try to emulate the 'Betty Draper'.

Summer is ending...Autumn is right around the corner. The last of the summer sun sets, summer swims, and summer sand castles is drawing near.  

We got to the go karts, the batting cages AND we managed to move in to our new apartment in London, Ontario last week. (Every time I say "I'm moving to London" people get so excited...then they realize it's just Ontario).

Our move went fairly well. Tristan did almost all of it himself. He managed to carry a queen size bed all by himself! Incredible Hulk?

I still have my entire wardrobe (gosh knows, that's going to take a whole truck just in itself!) and bead working studio to pack up (don't worry the regular showroom studio will still be in Caledon East for purchases).

What are some of your last minute summer plans you're trying to cram in before September arrives? Have you heard if we are going to have a hot September yet?

I like this look because it is still incorporating my summer sailboat shirt, with my shell bracelet. Can you tell I'm a summer girl and can't let go of summer time living? I added a splash to the outfit with some Fall boots, and high waisted jeans. I'm tryinggg to think Fall, but it's so hard! I want the summer heat back. Maybe I should start saying Autumn, it sounds a lot nicer then Fall. Maybe that will help me the transition of Summer time ending? Autumn. Yes. That sounds nicer.

If you follow me on Twitter, you know I'm finally back from the cottage. I got to spend a whole week up there. I cannot remember the last time I spent a week up there consecutively.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. I'm loving these painter paints at the cottage. Perfect for pulling over your bather, or just lounging around. 

Just popping in to say hello, excuse the swimming hair. I find it so much harder to post in the summer, or maybe it's just harder to post when your on vacation at the cottage! ha I've been listening to Toots and the Maytals. What's your go to music listening at the Cottage?

Just been relaxing and enjoying the cottage life. My Manfriend wants to go, go carting, so we'll have to go next week at the cottage (he is infact 25, and still loves the carts like an 11 year old!). I like the batting cages. I find I quite like baseball. I'm not good at it, by any means, but have been playing a couple times this summer. Maybe once we're settled in to London, we'll join a baseball fun league. I keep trying to think of ways to meet people in our new city. Any ideas?

I love this necklace that I hand designed. It's two vintage brooches. I love the flower and the deep red with the thick chain. I just find it stunning. It's available in my online shop.

I am taking a week vacation to the cottage. My cousin is doing an internship up at the hospital by my cottage, as an HR consultant, so she's bunking at our cottage. As my sistercuz,  I'm taking advantage and living up here with her. I'll still be blog posting, the beach always make such a beautiful  background! 

I finished Shadow of the Wind. If you love mystery books, entangled with a love story, this is the novel for you. I've started reading a Canadian novel by Carol Shields, The Stone Diaries. My two favourite cottage time activities are farm fresh, corn on the cob, and reading a good novel outside while the sun sets! What are your favourite august cottage favourites?
