The outfit posts have been a little slow over the last few weeks. I've been busy getting ready for the 3rd Fashion show fundraiser on Thursday September 19th, 2013. Find The Lady Team on Facebook by clicking here.

We have Helene Campbell speaking at our event who was on the Ellen Degeneres show. We have a red carpet, appetizers, signature drinks, live music, an artisans marketplace and a few more surprises for the night of the show! Come join us for an unforgettable evening as we raise money for Cystic Fibrosis and Give 2 Live. The Artisan Marketplace starts at 6:00pm and the Fashion show starts at 8:00pm. If you would like tickets you can purchase them from the button on the right hand side or from any member of the lady team. We have 9 local fashion houses and 20 volunteer male and female models!

The 17 girls on the committee and I, can't wait to show you what we've been working on since last November! CF for CF fashion show round 3 happening on Thursday September 19th in Caledon East at the Royal Ambassador.

caledonstock 2013

Here's some photos from Caledonstock. It's an outdoor music fundraiser to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis Canada. There was a prize for best dressed hippie and other fun games while listening to bands all night long! The beginning photos, the first collage and the last photo of Tristan and I were taken by the very talented Samantha Hurley. If you want to check out all the photos gathered from Caledonstock. Click here to go to the photo bucket page.

Samantha Hurley is SO talented and I feel very luck to be doing a wedding creative with her the middle of August this year. I'm super excited to shoot with her and add more photos to our portfolio!
Check out her website here. Or her facebook page here

I've had a busy last few days, saying good bye to my child hood best friend, Crystal as she continues her travels around the world. She has been gone for five years and plans to be gone for another two! I miss her dearly. She got married last weekend and I was lucky enough to stand up beside her as her third bridesmaid with her two sisters. I bawled tonight when I had to say good bye to her. She is off to singapore so hopefully I will get to visit her!
I hope your weeks are going well and you are used to this strange temperature change we've had! See you soon Lady Bugs.

wild child nature inspired outfit

Outfit Details:
Maxi dress: Winners
Jacket: Thrifted, Banana Republic
Belt: Vintage
Ring: DLR, Guelph
Necklace: available in my shop www.GotHattitude.com
I'm really diggin' this outfit. I must be getting in the mood for Caledonstock, dressing loosey goosey and feeling my inner hippie. All my jewellery lately has been very nature wild child inspired.  I hand made this necklace. You can find it at my online shop. Click here to take a browse. This necklace would look great in the summer with long flowy dresses and skirts, or when the weather turns colder throw it on with a collared plaid shirt and some high waisted jeans and brown ankle booties.

I've been working away on the CF for CF fashion show, which is on Thursday September 19th, 2013. This year I am SO ecstatic my boyfriend, Tristan is one of the male models! We have 15 female models and 5 male models strutting their stuff down the runways supporting a great cause. We are selling advanced tickets to this years fashion show event on Saturday July 20th at Caledonstock. This will be the site of our Launch party! It's a giant outdoor music fundraiser to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis. Come dress like a hippie, dance, listen to the bands, play some games and win some prizes. Dinner is included and tickets are $25 per person.

may is cystic fibrosis month

Outfit Details:
Shirt: Banana Republic, Gift
Pants: Vintage
Belt: Vintage
Loafers: Walking on a cloud
Jewelry: Hattitude hand made jewellery. Click here for shop

Today is the first day of May, which means it's the first month of Cystic Fibrosis awareness month. Click here to find out more about this deadly disease.

Love love love this shirt my boyfriend bought me. The fabric is so soft against your skin and the pattern is out of this world. I love the bright colours. The boy has good taste! I always like to wear a high waisted pant and I happened across this perfect matching belt. Sometimes I go TOO matchy poo in my items. I hope this one wasn't too much for your tastes!

Still working on getting my ankle fixed so I could only hobble up to my rooftop to take photos. Still a nice change of scenery. It was breathtakingly beautiful today. Very hot and sunny. I took out some San Francisco books today from the library. I head there next Thursday. Super excited. Do you have any suggestions for me to see while I'm in San Francisco?

a spring blazer look

Outfits:
Boots: Mothers
Socks: Gift
Dress: Thrifted
Blazer: Winners
Sweater: F21
Shirt: Joe Fresh
Jewellery: Hattitude jewellery/vintage necklace

This weekend we had a lovely time being back in the town where we grew up. The weather finally decided to warm up a bit, so I was able to snap some photos outside. I love taking outfit shots outside. Scenery is so much prettier and the photo quality is better. I love the spring weather and wearing blazers instead of heavy lined winter jackets. Isn't the little brooch cute from Weezi studio? This jean shirt is becoming a staple in my spring wardrobe to update my vintage items.

We were lucky enough that we got to see my boyfriend's nephews which was a highlight of the weekend for me. I got some items checked off of my bridesmaid to do list for the Summer wedding coming up quickly, as well as a meeting for the CF for CF fashion show that is coming up in September. Plans are slowly but surely coming together for our fashion show. There is about 13 girls on the executive. We started meeting and planning the show since November. It's nicer this time around not having so much stress all at once. So much work still to be done though. If you have not been to the show before you'll have to catch it this year. About 500 people come at the Royal Ambassador in Caledon, with 8 fashion houses from around our community. It's to raise money for cystic fibrosis and organ donation awareness. Over the last two fashion shows we've raised more then $60,000 for the foundation.
Hope your weekend's were awesome!

$7600 was raised!

Acid washed jean jacket: vintage
hat: clothing swap
skirt: vintage (altered), chez thrift
Necklace: Available here in my shop

We've started taming the kittens. Little Rascal and Nala (Found out the black one is a girl) are coming up and munching away on the kitten food I bought them yesterday. Nala lets us hold her, but Rascal will have none of it, but he is getting used to our voices.
My Dad says no more cats in the house (we already have two!)...mom keeps bringing Nala inside. Kitten: 1....Dad: 0

The Caledonstock fundraiser from the other weekend, raised over $7500! How crazy is that? That money will do some wonderful and amazing things for the Cystic Fibrosis community and the lung transplant programs. Thank you again to everyone who came. It means the world to every one of us who suffers from CF.

It's half way through the week! ...
But I'm cheating and taking some holidays this week. Expect outfit posts of me up at the cottage. Baby brother is back from fighting fires (yes fellow bloggerittes gasp and awe and oggle...he's a 6'3 forest fire fighter...blonde and jacked? and single...all a big sis wants is a nice girl for him ha) and we're rendezvousing at the cottage. What are your plans for the week? Have you ever tried to sell your brother on the internet as a date? ha!
