a spring blazer look

Outfits:
Boots: Mothers
Socks: Gift
Dress: Thrifted
Blazer: Winners
Sweater: F21
Shirt: Joe Fresh
Jewellery: Hattitude jewellery/vintage necklace

This weekend we had a lovely time being back in the town where we grew up. The weather finally decided to warm up a bit, so I was able to snap some photos outside. I love taking outfit shots outside. Scenery is so much prettier and the photo quality is better. I love the spring weather and wearing blazers instead of heavy lined winter jackets. Isn't the little brooch cute from Weezi studio? This jean shirt is becoming a staple in my spring wardrobe to update my vintage items.

We were lucky enough that we got to see my boyfriend's nephews which was a highlight of the weekend for me. I got some items checked off of my bridesmaid to do list for the Summer wedding coming up quickly, as well as a meeting for the CF for CF fashion show that is coming up in September. Plans are slowly but surely coming together for our fashion show. There is about 13 girls on the executive. We started meeting and planning the show since November. It's nicer this time around not having so much stress all at once. So much work still to be done though. If you have not been to the show before you'll have to catch it this year. About 500 people come at the Royal Ambassador in Caledon, with 8 fashion houses from around our community. It's to raise money for cystic fibrosis and organ donation awareness. Over the last two fashion shows we've raised more then $60,000 for the foundation.
Hope your weekend's were awesome!

fashion show tonight!

You'll have to excuse the lack of outfit posts until Christmas. Hattitude studio is a buzz with fingers turning, and ideas flowing. Jewellery is going every which way in time for Christmas! Check out the latest pieces below or browse my shop online.

Headed to see a fashion show tonight at Fanshawe College with some local fashion houses in London ONTARIO. It's in support of the rescue a dog program. I'm excited to see another fashion show, since we had our first meeting for our 2013 CF for CF fashion show. For those readers who don't know, this will be our 3rd time running the fundraiser fashion show. We raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and raise awareness for Organ donation. Since I have CF and had a double lung transplant two and a half years ago, this is a show near and dear to my heart. There is 17 girls on the committee and we get nearly 500 people in attendance. It'll be great to see tonights fashion show to get some new fresh ideas.
Hope your weeks are going well! Will have some new outfit posts up this weekend!

Cf for CF - FAshion SHow

Incase you missed the show, here's a sneak peak of what the Lady Team + Nik (13 of my girlfriends and Nik) did this summer. We had 500 guests, and raised over $27,000 for cystic fibrosis foundation of canada. We were able to start a new 'sponsor a family' program and helped a family going through transplant. It was an amazing night. Not to mention the 8 fashion houses were hot hot hot!

I'm off to get some halloween decorations for the party on friday. Halloween is my favourite time of year! I thought about going as a zombie....but as my mother once told me...you always want to look cute on halloween. She speaks from experience when one year she went as the three little pigs with her two girlfriends. This year me and my boyfriend are going as Sandy and Danny from Grease. I like to go blonde on halloween (last year I was cinderella) since I probably never will get to in real life.

Don't forget to check out my store 10% discount using AUTUMN code until tonight (tuesday)! Click here.

LGFW

Winning feels good. So when I won tickets to a fashion show in Toronto during fashion week. It felt good. Going to a fashion show and eating like crazy afterwards so I don't look like the models up on the runway because they look like little twigs with pointy knobs (bones) sticking out in weird positions all over, that if I blew on them, they would crumble in to dust....does not feel good.
They had this booth set up at the show...but seriously come on? What about 'everyone needs a malibu stacy'? not EVERYONE needs a ken, some people might want a malibu stacey.
And when did Ken and Barbie ever break up? Back together again? They are the iconic couple, how did I miss them splitting up?

some clothing line, incorporating vacuums, perhaps advocating that you can clean in their clothes as well as go out on date night?

Jewellery Designer...
The Fashion show was weird. I had no idea models were THAT skinny. It did not make me want to buy those clothes....because I do NOT want to look like those models.  I like my bones under my skin where no one can see them...no popping out at weird angles because I have zero fat to cover anything up. I thought we got out of the age where models had to be super thin? Maybe it was just the show I was at?

13 awesome killer ladies and me are planning our 2nd annual Fashion Show fundraising event. Our show was out of this world last year (we raised over $40,000)...and this year stands to be even better.

We were hoping to catch some inspiration from the fashion show ...maybe there was another venue, but I found the whole experience rather odd. The models were extremely thin, the atmosphere cavernous and echoy, and the seats uncomfortable on my boney butt. ha

The Cat Walk...

Here are some photos from the Guelph Old Hollywood Fashion show. The show was a huge success. There was over 300 people, and they were able to raise a ton of money in support of the Guelph make a wish foundation! You can check out some of the professional photographers photos at www.fresh-media.ca. A great photo of Hattitude jewels is number 24 photo.

Etsy!

Finally, I am online with etsy! I have been researching and looking to get on to etsy.com for months now. Last week I put my first 10 necklaces up on their site. I'm still workin' around it, figuring stuff out. It's a really neat community. If you have not heard of etsy, it's huge in the US. They have some amazing artists and unique things on etsy. I have been buying from it for a couple years now. Etsy, is sort of like an ebay, but it's for only handmade things. An artisans website for all things handmade. It's really neat. Check it out by clicking here. You can check out my site on etsy, by clicking here or http://www.etsy.com/shop/hdunstan.

I also am working on a fashion show in Guelph. The CMESA business puts on a fashion show each year, with local artists and stores. This year they are going to have a choreographed number featuring my jewellery. Exciting!

It's snowing today, a lot! I was suppose to go to Guelph today to visit a friend, and get some new running shoes for working out...but the roads were just too bad. I am hoping winter ends soon. I miss the sun!
