a pleated skirt can make you feel so free

Outfit details-
Loafers/walking on a cloud
Skirt: Forget me not pop up show
Shirt: clothing swap
Bangles: mothers
Jewellery: Handmade by me from my online shop. Click here
Hat: grandfathers

I LOVE this pleated skirt. The colour is very unique and neutral. I can see it's going to turn in to a staple in my closet. Something I always grab. It's a new vintage find from the weekend. I also adore men's fedoras and they often pop into my outfits. Old man loafers AND old man fedoras + a pleated skirt...a girl can feel extra special wearing that fierce combination!

It's humid again, I don't even mind it for this last week of summer. I would do anything to hold on to the summer heat and fresh corn on the cob. I think that is my favourite thing about August. As little kids we used to eat corn on the cob EVERY single night at the cottage during the summer months. It was the best. Now my extended family farm has started growing human corn so we get to enjoy the deliciousness of FRESH corn thrown in the pot.
What's your favourite summer time vegetable or summer tradition? Are you trying to squeeze anything in the last few days of summer?

p.s. thanks to everyone who has liked my page and helped my small business grow! I am now up to 300 likes. I am blowing air kisses at all of you. Big smiles.
Don't forget to enter my giveaway. Click here to go to the blog post. It's a kensie beach cover up, valued at $54.00. I just ADORE mine. It's so nice to have a cover up a bit longer and something that has sleeves to cover up your arms during the heat of the day. Click here to enter the giveaway.

wear a flower in your hair

Outfit details:
Shirt: Courage my love, made from two vintage scarves, Toronto, ON
Pants: Vintage, Chez Thrift, Bolton, ON
Shoes: Shoepper
Flower: off an old hat
Necklace: handmade, Hattitude jewellery

I love love love this whimsical top that I purchased from Kensington market. I'm a huge fan of one of a kind items and these shirts were made from two vintage scarves. I wish I knew how to sew better and I might go in to my mothers closet (she has about 165 vintage scarves, NOT EVEN KIDDING) I doubt she would even miss them if I snaffooed some for a lovely shirt!

I love the flower in my hair. I took it from an old hat and have been bobby pinning it in to my hair for the last few years. There's something fun about a flower in your hair that is so feminine and summery.

I handmade this one of a kind necklace. It is such a gorgeous green statement piece. Throw it on for a more casual look with a tan tank and blue jean shorts. You can check it out in my online jewellery store here. Click here. or Here.

Belt: Vintage
Loafers: Walking on a cloud
Jewelry: Hattitude hand made jewellery. Click here for shop

Today is the first day of May, which means it's the first month of Cystic Fibrosis awareness month. Click here to find out more about this deadly disease.

Love love love this shirt my boyfriend bought me. The fabric is so soft against your skin and the pattern is out of this world. I love the bright colours. The boy has good taste! I always like to wear a high waisted pant and I happened across this perfect matching belt. Sometimes I go TOO matchy poo in my items. I hope this one wasn't too much for your tastes!

Still working on getting my ankle fixed so I could only hobble up to my rooftop to take photos. Still a nice change of scenery. It was breathtakingly beautiful today. Very hot and sunny. I took out some San Francisco books today from the library. I head there next Thursday. Super excited. Do you have any suggestions for me to see while I'm in San Francisco?
