wildchild hat wearing kind of day

Outfit details:
Shoes: Seychelles
Shorts: Thrifted, cut offs
Belt: Thrifted
Shirt: Vintage scarves
Hat: Boyfriends
Jewellery: Handmade by me, online shop here.
I love this outfit. Such a wildchild look. I borrowed the hat from my boyfriend (sometimes it works out me taking his clothes! ha) This shirt is made from two vintage scarves. This necklace is awesome for the summer months. It goes with everything. I handmade it. It's available in my shop later this afternoon. click here. The earrings are available exclusively at Caledonstock with all the sale proceeds going towards Cystic Fibrosis. Caledonstock is 4 days away! Do you have your tickets yet? Better hurry. It's an outdoor music fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis. You can now purchase them online at www.Caledonstock.com. Only a limited quantity will be available at the door, so purchase yours before it's too late!

It was too hot in the city for me, so I scooted it up to the cottage for a little R & R although I've been working this whole time, but this afternoon I'm going to dedicate some time to just enjoying this beautiful day.

I hope you are enjoying your week! Stay cool. Stay hydrated. Enjoy this heat.

wear a flower in your hair

Outfit details:
Shirt: Courage my love, made from two vintage scarves, Toronto, ON
Pants: Vintage, Chez Thrift, Bolton, ON
Shoes: Shoepper
Flower: off an old hat
Necklace: handmade, Hattitude jewellery

I love love love this whimsical top that I purchased from Kensington market. I'm a huge fan of one of a kind items and these shirts were made from two vintage scarves. I wish I knew how to sew better and I might go in to my mothers closet (she has about 165 vintage scarves, NOT EVEN KIDDING) I doubt she would even miss them if I snaffooed some for a lovely shirt!

I love the flower in my hair. I took it from an old hat and have been bobby pinning it in to my hair for the last few years. There's something fun about a flower in your hair that is so feminine and summery.

I handmade this one of a kind necklace. It is such a gorgeous green statement piece. Throw it on for a more casual look with a tan tank and blue jean shorts. You can check it out in my online jewellery store here. Click here. or Here.

a toy soldier kind of outfit

Outfit details:
Pants: Vintage
Suspenders: Thrifted
Shirt: Dear Creatures, San Francisco
Jacket: Vintage, Victoria, BC
Purse: Vintage, Grandmothers

I've been travelling like crazy this month. We calculated it, and I have spent a total of 6 nights in my apartment. Between Toronto, San Francisco, Caledon and London I have had little time to spend at home! It is so nice to be in the comfort of my own home again. I did some spring closet cleaning today. I found so many gems that I had forgotten about as they were shoved to the back of my closet. I put away all my winter woolies inside my trunk that sits at the end of my bed ready for next year to come.

I love this outfit for the fun. It reminds me of a toy solider. The blouse is so cute and I was lucky enough to get it in San Francisco at a sample sale from an independent designer, Dear Creatures. If you have not checked them out click here to go to their site. I am a girl all about the little details so I adore the bow they put on this blouse...of course I'm a HUGE cat fan so who could not swoon at the print!

This jacket is one of my favourites! I love the leather and old badges on this jacket my boyfriend and I picked up at a thrift store out in British Columbia. One of my favourite things is to collect articles of clothing from places that I have travelled. They become my souvenirs. What do you collect when you go away on holidays?

how to style bright running shoes

Outfit Details:
Skirt: Vintage, Chez Thrift, Bolton
Belt: Vintage, Bibles for Mission, London, ON
Shoes: Sport Chek
Glasses: Archies, London, ON
Jean vest: Thrifted, Chez Thrift
Necklace: Hattitude jewellery. See the item here

Here's my take on how to wear bright summer running shoes.
How fun is this vintage polka dot skirt I picked up at the thrift store the other day? I could not even believe I scored it. A jean vest completes any summer look I feel. Boy has it been summer weather lately! I love these new bright summer runners I picked up. I'm headed to San Francisco in T minus 2 days so this will probably be the last posting for a week or two. I had to get some new shoes to wear kickin' around San Francisco. Comfort first! I'm getting SO excited.

I'm having studio shopping hours tonight in Caledon, so if you are around and need a gift for Mother's day, stop by the studio for a one of a kind treasure to give your mama!

I hope you are enjoying this lovely afternoon sun as much as the wild cats at my parents house are!

a dance party. black and pink style

Outfit Details:
Jewellery: Hattitude jewellery. Click here
Skirt: Girl Friday, Toronto
Shirt: Borrowed
Shoes: Thrifted

I love this DANCE PARTY shirt... which I just found out is not my shirt at all, but my brother's girlfriends shirt. I've found it in my laundry a few years ago and never knew where it came from! I love pink and black. Again there is something sweet about a little detail in your hair, a pink bow. The earrings are fun for summer too. They remind me of little cherries or strawberries. Lipstick is fun for spring.

What a glorious day it was today! The sun was shining, it was t-shirt weather! Can you believe it? I did my first outfit post in MONTHS outside. It was so wonderful to have such a beautiful back drop to do photos. How do you like this sweet little garden around my apartment building? Pretty. I love Spring flowers.

Don't forget if you're thinking of a gift for your mama for Mother's day 10% of Hattitude jewellery's sales go towards Cystic Fibrosis to help find a cure until the end of May 2013. Together we can make CF stand for Cure Found.

Hope your weekend is going beautifully.

a sprained ankle

Outfit details:
Tights: The bay
Dress: F21
Sweater: Winners
Belt: Thrifted

I threw this outfit on for a more relaxed comfy day. I think this outfit is still warm with the fleece tights to deal with the rain today and springy for when the sun came out. This weather is certainly tricky to dress for without changing your outfit twice a day once for the cold, once for the warmth.

This sweater I have found really hard to pair with a lot of things. I rarely wear it, even though I like the pattern. I think it goes well with a jean dress. How would you style this cardigan?

This necklace, I love! The sweet little heart is so cute. It's going to be perfect for the summer months. Love the nautical colours. I hand made this necklace using vintage brooches, beads and earrings as the pendants.

I've sprained my ankle pretty badly last night at our weekly sports league. We play all sorts of sports, every week it's a different sport and last night was Soccer. I HATE soccer. This sprained ankle just reconfirms that. Hobbling around on one foot has not been fun. Thankfully I have a very sweet boyfriend taking care of me.

Have a wonderful rest of the week. Stay Healthy.

Ruby Sparks inspired outfit

Outfit Details:
Tights: F21
Shorts: Winners
Shirt: Winners
Sweater: Winners
Belt: Thrifted
Jewellery: Hattitude jewels

This outfit was very Ruby Sparks inspired. She wears a royal blue dress with purple tights in one of the opening scenes. Have you seen Ruby Sparks? It's such a great film. So original and cute. I love the actors in it, and love that in real life they are dating! Did you like Ruby Sparks? I love quirky movies like that. Any other movie suggestions?

some springy coloured tights

Outfit Details:
Tights: F21
Leg Warmers: from Brazil, Gift
Dress: F21
Sweater: Vintage, The Sentimentalist

I love these pink tights. Arn't they so fun, especially for Spring? But I REALLY like this sweater. It just seems so whimsical and sweet. I purchased it on the weekend at a vintage shop in London. It feels even better then it looks and the little details on the sides... sigh...you guys know how I love my little details. Sorry about the frizzy hair. It's been rainy on and off all day.

Thankfully the sun started shining this afternoon again after some heavy rain this morning when I was out and about. Drenched, but it was nice because it was a warm rain. Getting caught in those rain storms are beautiful. Spring is here. There's something romantic about running through the teeming rain and not caring at all.

How are your weeks going?
