I think this hat completes the outfit, which used to be my grandfathers. Also the yellow bow belt. Who doesn't swoon over a bow belt? I now own three of them and LOVE them all to pieces. I particularly like bow belts because they update what could have been a frumpy vintage jumper into a modern day outfit. I really think denim shirts are key in updating your vintage finds as well, if you want to update them, some people just love the classic look of vintage. I like to update mine a little with modern style items, such as bow belts and denim shirts. I hope your Friday nights are going swimmingly. I am off for a date night dinner. Tomorrow off to a card... party? Is that what one would call it? It's a gathering where you make your own greeting cards, sort of like a tupper ware party but make your own greeting cards. It's fun. I love being creative like that, but don't own half the scrapbooking items that are needed to do it, so this is a great excuse!

Gosh I love this sweater. It's so feminine and springy looking, no? I love the little details of the flowers. One thing it's not the warmest sweater. There's no wool in it. I try to wear it on little warmer winter days (is that an oxymoron?). I finally found a denim shirt that fits! All I had to do was go grocery shopping (on a girls weekend up north!) to find it at Joe Fresh. Was it strange buying my fruits and veggies and clothes as well? A little. But hey, if I can shop AND get my groceries...I'm a happy lady. 

Have you been keeping up on all your oscar movies? I'm so far behind! One year I saw all of them. The Oscars are my favourite time of year, mainly because it's become a tradition with my girlfriends and I to get together, dress to the nines, eat some treats and play some Oscar bingo. 

Do you have a tradition with your friends you adore? Valentines day? Easter? I love hearing other people's traditions!

I hope everyone's weekend was swell. I spent Friday lounging around my manfriend's  pool (although it was unseasonably chilly friday evening and I did not actually put my body in the pool), eating bbq shrimp, and homemade burgers. Saturday was spent dancing and eating poutine at 3 in the morning in Toronto. 

Monday has been spent...being tired. ha

I have lots of new Hattitude coming to the website soon. My open house studio shop hours is in two weeks, so I have to get crack a lackin'.

I spent the day walking around Queen st. yesterday in Toronto, we stopped in many record stores (for him) and many camera shops (for her). 

I'm currently working on some wholesale inquiries, trying to see if that would be an avenue I could pursue with my jewellery. 

I also stumbled upon the BEST thing to hit bolton since....well, ever. If you live in Bolton, you must absolutely, MUST check out the cutest and greatest vintage boutique, 'Yours Now Mine'. This girl has done her store up beautifully! She just opened in March, so go a local store owner. She's got NEW and Vintage items. 

Hope to see you tomorrow at the 'Caledonstock' party! Games, dancing, stage, live bands, on a farm, fundraiser for cystic fibrosis. If you're not busy on Saturday night...this is where your chikitita bottom should be!
