how to wear pants

What I wore:
Sweater: F21
Hair scarf: thrifted
Vest: Vintage
Pants: F21

I am in love with these pants. It feels very strange wearing pants. I normally tend to stick to skirts and dresses...but these pants were too perfect to pass up. I love them. The floral pattern is right up my alley, and they're stretchy! (so I can wear long underwear underneath them) I think it's important if you're going to wear pants to either have them a. high waisted, or b. with a little bit of pattern on them or c. wear them with a vest.
How do you wear your pants?

I've been busy getting ready for my jewellery show this Sunday December 9th from 2-5pm.
Check out some of the pieces online and drop by Sunday for some gift wrapped presents that are one of a kind.

Follow me on Facebook as I update my shop, and post tidbits about life.
How have your lives been? I promise in the new year when Hattitude settles back down, I'll catch up on the blogosphere.

Do you guys have any plans for Christmas? I really wish I was scooting down to Barbados. Tell me your plans!

leather skirts

What I wore:
Boots: The sentimentalist, London, ON
Skirt: Pre- Loved, Toronto
Sweater: Thrifted in Guelph
Belt: Mom's old one

Good morning blogosphere.
I love this outfit, for the skirt. There is something awesome about a leather skirt, especially with this season being all about the leather. This one was re-done using old leather skirts by a company in Toronto, called Pre-loved. They redesign clothing into new items, using old materials, very similar to the work I do with my jewellery. They just recently signed a contract with roots, anthropology and the bay! Congratulations Pre-Loved. You deserved it.

I put this sweater and necklace with it so it doesn't look too 'motorcycle babe' with my lace up booties. This is a new necklace I wanted to show case today. It'll be up in the shop tomorrow so keep your eye out. Doesn't the belt just add a splash of fun? While the heart tights keep it fun and girly.

Have a great rest of the week! Do you have any halloween plans?
Me and my dude are going as a team... I'll post pictures (it's easier for you to see who/what we're being). What are you going as?

Belt: thrifted
Boots: LoveSick Vintage, London, ON

Necklace: Available here in my shop

It's been one heck of a busy week. We played baseball (we're part of a sport and social club here in London, Ontario) on Wednesday. I really enjoyed our team and I wasn't half bad at baseball either! Next week is ultimate frisbee, good thing I've been practising all summer at the cottage.

Yesterday I went to a Yoga Class. When you work from home, it was a great thing to get up and do over the lunch hour (not to mention it's a 4 minute walk from my apartment). I'm sore today, so it was definitely a challenging class ( that, or I'm just out of shape since the summer?) I also went to a London camera club last night. Maybe it was the night I chose... but it was rather tedious and boring. I'll give it one more shot I suppose. I get two guests passes and then I have to decide whether to join up or not.

So... yes I've been trying out many different things here in our new city. Has anyone ever moved to a new city? What do you suggest doing or signing up for to keep busy and meet some people?

 Yippee! It's FRy-eye-Dee eh.
Happy weekend everyone.

In other news...we have baby kittens! I saw a stray grey cat on our property when I came home from Vancouver in May, and thought that cat is lookin' mighty fine preggers, but that was the last of her!
All summer long from my apartment bedroom I kept hearing these little mews, or so I thought. We put some food outside this morning, and low and behold 4 babies came out of the forest with their mother! The rest are wild as can be, 2 greys and a tabby, but this little black gal, I dubbed her Rafiki (for now) stuck around. She was just content playing by herself. I hope her mama didn't abandon her. She's been known to be a bad mama cat in the past (we found her with 3 dead kittens, a few days old, 2 years ago in the barn).

I hope your Tuesday morning was as great as mine was waking up!
