These are the only photos I could find of us a year ago |
We've been doing it for one year now. It kind of all started after me and my boyfriend who had been together for a few years broke up (tragically in my opinion, but then again I have been known to be a bit of a dramatic).
I was trying to fill the void that he seemed to have left upon his departure....So naturally I started a book club. Lame? No. This 'club' saved me from going into severe depression (heart break is THE worst).
The book club gave me something to do and let me escape through my imagination and reading to a world full of no heart breaks and where knights in shining armour DO exist! They do, they really do...and the best part; they're cute, never hurt your feelings and are always smiling and deathly handsome (insert swoon here ha)

This month we are reading The memory keepers daughter, before one of our members jets off to Europe for 7 weeks!
Has anyone else read this book? Are you part of a book club?
Also have you checked out this...netflicks for books! www.bookswim.com. Crazy renting books over the internet for a monthly fee
Love this, what a great idea to start a book club! It looks like so much fun & a great reason to get your girlfriends together. Will have to take a peek at the book too. Happy Sunday. xx veronika

I've always wanted to be in a book club. I tried to start one at work, but only one other person likes to read as much as I do. haha. I'm about to start reading "Sarah's Key" by Tatiana de Rosnay. My favorite genre is historical fiction. What about you?
ReplyDeleteXOXO
My friends and I have tried and tried again to be in a book club. But we always fail. However, they have always given me lists of books to read on my own. You should definitely let us know more books you read.
