Happy thanksgiving canadians!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone (Canadians!). Is this time of year not just STUNNING. I can't get enough of the scenic drives and all the beautiful colours. I hope you all enjoyed yourselves with Turkey, stuffing, squash and pumpkin pie! My favourite treat for this time of year, apple sauce jello. Sounds strange, but it's THE best. Do you have an odd family tradition for thanksgiving?

Enjoy the day. I am so thankful for my wonderful friends, my amazing family and my awesome dude. I am so thankful for organ donors, being able to breathe, technology and modern science! What a wonderful era we live in. What are you thankful for?
p.s. for those who read my last post, "I can see the pines are dancing" is a song by A.A. Bondy...I was not referencing the maple tree in the background of my photos confusing it with a pine tree ha

Autumn vs. Fall

Earrings: available here in  my shop
Bracelet: Coming soon in my shop!
Boots: Vancouver
Pants: Urban Outfitters
Shirt: Thrifted
Headscarf: Thrifted

I like this look because it is still incorporating my summer sailboat shirt, with my shell bracelet. Can you tell I'm a summer girl and can't let go of summer time living? I added a splash to the outfit with some Fall boots, and high waisted jeans. I'm tryinggg to think Fall, but it's so hard! I want the summer heat back. Maybe I should start saying Autumn, it sounds a lot nicer then Fall. Maybe that will help me the transition of Summer time ending? Autumn. Yes. That sounds nicer.

If you follow me on Twitter, you know I'm finally back from the cottage. I got to spend a whole week up there. I cannot remember the last time I spent a week up there consecutively.

Getting my jewellery collection ready for Back to School. My studio shop hours are coming up quick! Tuesday, September 4th and Wednesday, September 5th. If you need something before then for an August birthday gift, or early September wedding, feel free to come over and browse the studio yourself.

Hope everyone is getting all their last minute plans in before September hits! We're moving a ton of stuff in to our new apartment this Thursday in London, ON. I can't wait to share photos with you all once it's done!

Timeless Thursdays

This week I'm featuring Jackie Kennedy. A timeless classic woman. Everyone should channel Jackie Kennedy every once in awhile for their fashion poise and tips. This photo summerizes everything perfectly. I love the sweet little bow she is wearing across her waist, as well as the pearls. I also want to bring back gloves. I adore gloves. Perhaps because my favourite era is the 1920's. I love flappers. This is a photo of me as a flapper from halloween and my boyfriend as a gangster from the 20's. Most people say though that I belong in the 40's, but the 20's have stolen my heart.
Pearls are back again this fall. Whether it's the flapper look, wearing a long pearl necklace down to your waist, but update the look with a 'Isn't She Lovely' Hattitude necklace up around your neck to give it a modern feel. This 'Violet Viola' simple, yet modern necklace with sterling silver bail and vintage pendant featured below to the right. Throw it on with a long pearl necklace. The new 'Isn't She Lovely' Line from Hattitude is great for layering necklaces!

Maybe you don't want to do the flapper look this fall, but still want some pearls in your necklace. So try Hattitude's 'Pearly Pink' necklace featured to the left.

More Monday

This monday features a vintage flower pendant with mother of pearl. This is a great neutral necklace by Hattitude. I love it because it's black and white, and I am always looking for black and white necklaces to throw on with things! Midnight Bloom is a one-of-a-kind necklace made from a vintage brooch. Wear this with this eggplant ruffle sweater dress from shopRuche.com. Put on a pair of black leggings with some knee high black boots and your ready to take on the fall!
