Studio Hours and a free goodie!

I've been busy working away on a new studio space in my apartment so I can open up 'store hours' once a month. The first Tuesday and Wednesday of the month is when you will be able to come browse the new jewels in person. Touch them, try them, and bring your favourite outfit to match with the jewels!

Check out the NEW space below. You can see a sneak peek of the studio space without the jewels in it yet.

Don't miss out on the summer studio hours. It's a great outing with your girlfriends or your mother and a lovely drive in the country in the summer. Swing by Hattitude's studio next week from 4-8pm on Tuesday and Wednesday to see the latest creations I've been brewing up.

Everyone likes goodies, right? Well I thought the first customer next week to come to my Summer Studio Shop Hours, would win a free pair of Hattitude earrings!

Keep checking my shop website as I update all week. See you on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Maybe you'll win the free earrings! :)

James Bond: 007 a charity event

Romper: Used House of Vintage, Vancouver
Jean Vest: Thrifted, Banana Republic
Sunnies: Meow, Guelph

Last Saturday night I spent with 400+ people putting our energies into the universe to do a little bit of good in this crazy wild world. It was a fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis and Sick Kids Hospital, which was put on by the Friends For Life Foundation. The theme was Bond: 007. Surprisingly we were the only ladies who strapped guns to our calves. They were the hit of the night. (Great idea Laur). Golden Eye Styles.
It makes your heart feel good, when you support a good cause, get to wear a gun, and dance the night away.
What's your favourite fundraiser you've ever been to?

Queens Plate

We went to the Queens plate. The stanley Cup of horse racing in Ontario. Everyone dresses up. It's a lovely fun filled afternoon spent at the race track. It's one of my favourite times of year. Can you blame me? I get to dress up in all things magical, beautiful and vintage!
Dress: Urban Outfitters
Shawl: Vintage
Earrings: Hattitude jewellery
Fascinator: Winners
rings: vintage

my man friend. Isn't he dapper? What a gem. He makes my heart go pitter patter.
Queens Plate 2012
My parents

We went to the Queens Plate Sunday Afternoon. What a lovely day. Much to my surprise, I actually walked away from the races being up some money. I have a habit of walking away in the negative, in the hole. This year I was on. My man friend had quite the beginners luck, maybe some of it rubbed off on me?

The race track is slowly becoming my favourite place. We tend to flock there every year for the Queens plate. The one year we did not go was the year the Queen decided to go. I was miffed I missed her!

We don't go to the races as much as we should anymore. It's a dying, under rated form of entertainment. How was your weekend? Did you go to the race track?

wreaking ball in a summer dress

Dress: Paper people clothing, Toronto
Earrings: Hattitude jewellery
Bracelet: Hattitude jewellery

This dress is so whimsical isn't it? It's lovingly made from all vintage scarves. A girl in Toronto takes old clothes and re loves them in to fabulous new items to wear.
I love this dress. I'm constantly twirling, bobbing and frolicking in it. Isn't it funny how a certain dress can make you dance and move a certain way?

I'm off to London, Ontario tomorrow to show my Gma and mom my new apartment me and Tristan snagged. I have not seen it in a few weeks and cannot wait to see it again. It's so lovely. I almost (almost!) want it to be September so we can move all of our digs in.
I'm taking two classes at the college there, sewing design and photography, both which will help me in future endeavours with my business...oh how I dream of designing my own clothes some day.

I also wanted to announce, I now have studio hours. You can come and browse the jewellery, shop for birthday gifts, or bring your summer dress and match some accessories to it: the first Tuesday and Wednesday of every month. The studio hours are from 4-8pm. Come see where I work and browse the latest pieces of jewellery.

Kinsmen Club

I wore this to a Kinsmen Club dinner. Kinsmen is a community club, which is very involved with fundraising and events in Canada. They're a wonderful group of dedicated people who support cystic fibrosis research as one of their main charities.
Dress: Chez Thrift, bolton
Shoes: Winners
Head scarf: Garage sale
Jewellery: Hattitude jewels

One of my best friends received a community award from the Kinsmen Club last night in honour of all her hard work she does to raise money for cystic fibrosis research. She is the director of the CF for CF fashion show which has raised over $60,000 in support of CF research. She is one power house woman!
What a great evening to be part of. The highlight of the evening was seeing my best friend get such a wonderful award, for helping a cause that is so near and dear to my heart! She is a wonderful lady.
