I like my cowboy boots, like I like my friends. Chic, babe, comfy, and ready to kick some butt.

But seriously...
I cannot stop wearing these boots, even though they are a size too big for me, they were in my mamasieta's closet. My solution: go to shoe store, and get inserts. The outcome; they are so much more comfortable! walked for hours today in them!

Did anyone see Modern Family last night? I have it PVR'ed so I will have to watch it tonight. Totally crushing (in a non gross/creepy way) think phil is the cats fiddle. He's hilarious.

A friend in New Zealand shared this goodie of a song with me. It's just TOO good not to share with the blogospher. It is also a bunch of pure Canadian awesomeness rolled in to one song. He is from Bedouin Soundclash and she's uber adorable and from another band Couer de Pirate, from montreal. AWESOME. I think I have a hardcore girl crush on her she is super talented and pretty.

spring time colours are addictive

I love this colour of green, hence probably why my blog is filled with it. Pink and Green oozes, screams and shouts spring. It's addicting looking at all the other fashion blog outfit posts by people around the world...thus I had to follow suit and wear spring happy colours.

I am getting sick of it not being warm weather again (do I sound like a broken record? Next post I promise I won't even mention weather once ha) so even though I'm still wearing winter leggings, I am busting out the spring colours.
It's april for heavens sake! Flowers should be  will be arriving any day now. (positive thoughts right?)

Please excuse the socks in the photos...rubber duckies were muddy, so I didn't want to take photos of them inside the house, they're navy though, which I liked paired with these two colours.

It's so hard looking at all the other fashion blogger sites out there, when they are all getting to drapple and drape themselves in gorgeous floral dresses sans leggings, in bare legs!

I've been trying to look up other canadian bloggers, usually you can tell which ones they are by their outfit post photos still have snow in the background (I take the wimp other route and do all my photos inside)

If anyone knows any canadian or bloggers still in cold times, I'd love to check them out!

Le Printemps est venue...parfois?

Spring is coming...sometime?

Don't you just want to say in a french accent all day long "Coco Avant Chanel"...ah to speak the language of the french! (maybe any second language for that matter would do?)

Love the quote from Coco Chanel. Just saw the movie on her. What an icon and legend. Yes I took a break from my 'brothers and sisters' marathon to watch a movie last night.

This is my attempt at spring. Floral tube top...which is actually a mini skirt (obviously looked horrendous stretched across my stomach, thighs and butt) but I think it looks pretty spectacular as a spring floral top!

Did I mention I'm wearing my wool tights AND shorts? .....Cause I most definitely am.

What the fraggle rock? Seriously?  It is still SO cold here in Toronto. Tomorrow's temperature 7 degrees...and some snow and rain mix. I'm sorry, is it not April 5th today? We are suppose to be getting spring flowers, not busting out our winter jackets again because we're gonna have some snow.

SUMMER where are you? In washington? (I HOPE so) I'm heading there in two weeks time to visit my cousin. I hope the cherry blossoms are still in bloom!

Gypsy Queen

This is the outfit I strutted my stuff down on the red carpet at LG Fashion week (I didn't really strut, although I wish...I'm not even sure if I know how to strut? I might end up looking like a flamingo with a broken foot wearing heels).

LGFW

Winning feels good. So when I won tickets to a fashion show in Toronto during fashion week. It felt good. Going to a fashion show and eating like crazy afterwards so I don't look like the models up on the runway because they look like little twigs with pointy knobs (bones) sticking out in weird positions all over, that if I blew on them, they would crumble in to dust....does not feel good.
They had this booth set up at the show...but seriously come on? What about 'everyone needs a malibu stacy'? not EVERYONE needs a ken, some people might want a malibu stacey.
And when did Ken and Barbie ever break up? Back together again? They are the iconic couple, how did I miss them splitting up?

some clothing line, incorporating vacuums, perhaps advocating that you can clean in their clothes as well as go out on date night?

Trying to snap a photo

trying to snap photos of her, she was my favourite dressed

Women in their older years, adore fashion too

Fashion week

My partner in crime

Jewellery Designer...
The Fashion show was weird. I had no idea models were THAT skinny. It did not make me want to buy those clothes....because I do NOT want to look like those models.  I like my bones under my skin where no one can see them...no popping out at weird angles because I have zero fat to cover anything up. I thought we got out of the age where models had to be super thin? Maybe it was just the show I was at?

13 awesome killer ladies and me are planning our 2nd annual Fashion Show fundraising event. Our show was out of this world last year (we raised over $40,000)...and this year stands to be even better.

We were hoping to catch some inspiration from the fashion show ...maybe there was another venue, but I found the whole experience rather odd. The models were extremely thin, the atmosphere cavernous and echoy, and the seats uncomfortable on my boney butt. ha

Loving vintage since 1987.

Things in my apartment that make me smile....and how I came to love vintage.
this is my home

i like typing on type writers and collecting vintage teacups
my two loves. vintage fashion. and vintage teas.
Skeleton key
so beautiful
Type writers. The neatest thing since sliced bread.
rotary phones are bad ass.
Things in my apartment that are cool and neat.

My glass antique cabinet that I got as a little girl...I was probably 7.

Instead of a wardrobe with toys tucked inside from Ikea, I had a glass wardrobe to display photos and for things not to collect dust.

Instead of visiting Disney world as a child for a family trip, me and my brothers were dragged to pennsylvania to see the architect, Frank Lloyd Wright's homes.

Instead of participating in sparks, brownies, (rainbows and skittles?) and whateverelsehaveyous as a little girl, My mom put me in art classes on a farm in a trailer.

I like to think because of the 'not so average' child hood that I lead, is how I developed my passion for everything old, vintage and surprisingly beautiful things.
Perhaps with all these outlets in my young life, I was destined to love vintage.

Loving vintage since 1987. The year this wild child was born.

Today I am headed to Angela Chen, OR fashion show (in studio) presenting her collection. It's LG Fashion Week in Toronto. It's the first show I've been to. Kind of excited. Will post photos later.

Also will be drawing the winner to the Spring Hattitude Jewellery Giveaway today! Still time to enter. Click here, or here, or here
