how to wear pants
What I wore:
Sweater: F21
Hair scarf: thrifted
Vest: Vintage
Pants: F21
Jewellery: Hattitude jewellery
I am in love with these pants. It feels very strange wearing pants. I normally tend to stick to skirts and dresses...but these pants were too perfect to pass up. I love them. The floral pattern is right up my alley, and they're stretchy! (so I can wear long underwear underneath them) I think it's important if you're going to wear pants to either have them a. high waisted, or b. with a little bit of pattern on them or c. wear them with a vest.
How do you wear your pants?
I've been busy getting ready for my jewellery show this Sunday December 9th from 2-5pm.
Check out some of the pieces online and drop by Sunday for some gift wrapped presents that are one of a kind.
Follow me on Facebook as I update my shop, and post tidbits about life.

a polar bear belongs in the winter
What I wore:
Sweater: F21
Blouse: Thrifted, Chez thrift in Bolton
Skirt: Thrifted, Chez Thrift in Bolton
Suspenders: Value Village
How cute it this little polar bear sweater? I went shopping last weekend. My wardrobe was feeling dead and needed some inspiration again. I saw this little guy and fell in love. He's so cute. I got some other golden gems so hopefully will be posting some more photos. It wasn't that chilly today so I snapped a few out door photos.
I was in Caledon this week for studio hours www.GotHattitude.com and some doctor appointments. Ever had a colonoscopy? Not fun friends. Not fun.
I was decorating my grandmothers house last night with my sister cuz. Here are some photos of what we did. It's always a treat decorating her place. It's nice, we've kind of started a Christmas tradition. We all had dinner together and cut some fresh greener and spruced it up for her party.
I'm back to London tomorrow to work in the studio on more jewellery.
I'm having studio shop hours on Sunday December 9th from 1- 4pm in Caledon East, for anyone that can't make the Tuesday evening shop hours.
If you have a chance I invite you to check out my online store. It's filled with pretty and unique things. Check out the under $30 category if your looking for a gift for a secret santa :)

fashion show tonight!
You'll have to excuse the lack of outfit posts until Christmas. Hattitude studio is a buzz with fingers turning, and ideas flowing. Jewellery is going every which way in time for Christmas! Check out the latest pieces below or browse my shop online.
Headed to see a fashion show tonight at Fanshawe College with some local fashion houses in London ONTARIO. It's in support of the rescue a dog program. I'm excited to see another fashion show, since we had our first meeting for our 2013 CF for CF fashion show. For those readers who don't know, this will be our 3rd time running the fundraiser fashion show. We raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and raise awareness for Organ donation. Since I have CF and had a double lung transplant two and a half years ago, this is a show near and dear to my heart. There is 17 girls on the committee and we get nearly 500 people in attendance. It'll be great to see tonights fashion show to get some new fresh ideas.
Hope your weeks are going well! Will have some new outfit posts up this weekend!

how to wear old vintage sweaters?
What I wore:
Sweater: Vintage
Blouse: Lolita (London, ONT)
Pants: American Apparel
Necklace: Chicago Bliss - Available here
I think the key to making an old vintage sweaters work every day is putting a nice soft blouse underneath them. This blouse is a new from a local shop in downtown london. I love the colour and I love the sheerness of it. Putting a pretty feminine blouse underneath a bulky vintage old sweater is the perfect way to wear your vintage 80's sweaters! Of course you need to accessorize these old sweaters so add some jewellery, rings, bracelets, necklaces. I even put a little bow bobby pin in my hair from Weezi creations.
I'm still trying to figure out the best moves for indoor photos. Bear with me, I think they're turning out a little better then when I first started. It also helps that I got a wireless remote control. This is saving me SO much time. Best investment ever.
Happy almost weekend.
Have you got your twilight tickets yet? Tonight we're going to see Cloud Atlas. Two movies in one week. I'm a lucky gal.

Remembrance Day
Today is Remembrance Day.
Walking down to see the march in the downtown core was so powerful. It was amazing to see everyone out to celebrate and remember. It was pretty neat to see that almost every person was wearing a poppy (a symbol we wear to represent Flander's Field, and commemorate those who died in the wars).
At 11 o'clock a jet flew over where the hundreds of people had congregated to remember. It was all very moving to remember all the men and women who gave their lives so that we can have everything we have. We can walk down the street, walk through the park, be with who we want and have our freedoms which we take for granted every day.
In honour of Remembrance Day we started watching 'Band of Brothers'. It's astounding what these men went through during the war. It's a horrible and devastating show. It's quite a powerful representation of World War II.
Hope you all took a moment today to remember all the lives that fought for our freedoms and what incredibly brave souls were lost.
