What I wore:
Sweater: Vintage
Blouse: Lolita (London, ONT)
Pants: American Apparel
Necklace: Chicago Bliss - Available here
I think the key to making an old vintage sweaters work every day is putting a nice soft blouse underneath them. This blouse is a new from a local shop in downtown london. I love the colour and I love the sheerness of it. Putting a pretty feminine blouse underneath a bulky vintage old sweater is the perfect way to wear your vintage 80's sweaters! Of course you need to accessorize these old sweaters so add some jewellery, rings, bracelets, necklaces. I even put a little bow bobby pin in my hair from Weezi creations.
I'm still trying to figure out the best moves for indoor photos. Bear with me, I think they're turning out a little better then when I first started. It also helps that I got a wireless remote control. This is saving me SO much time. Best investment ever.
Happy almost weekend.

i definitely get a little intimidated by vintage shopping when it's more than just accessories or handbags... a collared blouse makes so much sense!
ReplyDeleteand yes, twilight tomorrow night!
That is the best way to wear old vintage sweaters - I agree! Your necklace is eye-catchingly beautiful. I just love the pops of coral going on in your outfit.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea how to photograph myself inside - I will admit. The lighting in your photos turned out beautiful. I need to take a lesson :)

Ah, Hattie, this is so not a typical vintage 80s sweater - and least not the way you wear it, lady! The combination of the olive leopard print and your soft pink blouse is just too pretty, especially layered with your gorgeous necklace. I think Chicago Bliss might be my favourite creation of yours so far :)

PS: I'm in Paris for the next year at least - pretty amazing, I have to admit!
